Emmy 2013: nomination e promesse

Per la consegna bisognerà attendere il 22 settembre, nella cerimonia presentata da Neil Patrick Harris al Nokia Theatre di Hollywood, ma già le nomination della 65esima edizione degli Emmy Awards meritano una particolare attenzione.
D'altronde sono sempre i premi televisivi per antonomasia, l'equivalente del premio Oscar per il piccolo schermo, anche per la qualità dei prodotti (spesso superiori a certi film, in realtà), degli interpreti e per l'entità delle produzioni.

In questo senso sembra esserci poca storia, visto che dal computo delle candidature complessive emerge una schiacciante superiorità della HBO su tutte le altre - 108 nominati contro i 53 di CBS e NBC, i 45 di ABC, i 31 di Showtime e via contando... - e delle sue produzioni (la serie Game of Thrones è seconda con 16 nomination, e il film tv Behind the Candelabra terzo con 15).

Sono premi a stelle e strisce, ma i titoli di cui si parla hanno ormai un'eco internazionale, sia per le versioni italiane messe in onda sui nostri canali, sia per la possibilità di accedere alle stesse versioni originali in molti casi.
Anche il pubblico nostrano quindi potrà accalorarsi nel fare il tifo per le suddette o per tutte quelle che seguono la prima della lista, la American Horror Story Asylum (FX) accreditata di 17 candidature.

Breaking Bad (13), Downton Abbey (12), Mad Men (12), Homeland (11), Boardwalk Empire (10), House of Cards (9) e l'immancabile The Big Bang Theory (8) sono solo alcuni degli esempi.

"Probabilmente eviterebbe ogni commento" ha detto Kevin Spacey, cui è stato chiesto come avrebbe risposto a un tale onore il personaggio che interpreta in House of Cards e che lo ha messo in corsa per il premio di Miglior Attore Protagonista di una Serie Drammatica, ma non tutti sono così 'algidi' nelle reazioni. Come dimostra la dichiarazione di Michael Douglas, possibile Miglior Protagonista in una Miniserie o Film per il biopic targato Soderbergh: "Questo è quando ti accorgi di aver fatto bene. Non posso credere che Behind the Candelabra abbia avuto quindici... Sono grato a Matt Damon per averne fatto parte. Sapevo di essere in buone mani e sono grato a Jerry Weintraub per aver aspettato per un anno che mi rimettessi in forze".
